Since this is the first post of this Substack newsletter let’s assume for the moment that everyone who is seeking information about the possible health benefits of changing how and what they eat has not been exposed to the information previously. That may be a poor assumption but I have to start somewhere. Therefore let’s start from the beginning. Or at least from the start of my interest in the subject.
The foundational information in this video presentation will help you form your opinion of whether the concept itself is valid. Your time is valuable, so if you reject that initial concept you can save yourself the trouble of following along.
Discussion of these presentations and material is always encouraged. I may set up a chat feature to make that process even easier than the comment section allows.
Shall we begin with “Why we get fat?”
Please feel free to skip over the nonessential historical blathering that follows:
About seven years ago I ran across a book by Gary Taubes titled “Good Calories, Bad Calories.” I do not recommend that book even though it’s terrific and groundbreaking. The reason being it’s fairly unreadable and was followed up by a shorter and readable version titled “Why We Get Fat and What To Do About It.”
I had been the recipient of very bad medical advice concerning my obesity, type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. That advice wasn’t just from one bad doctor. Rather it was from a set of entirely incorrect and harmful “truths” from the whole medical community, not to mention the food and pharmacological industries.
I am not alleging any bad intentions by anyone.
The information in the above mentioned book and the subsequent research I did in the field of nutrition led me to take control of (and responsibility for) my health. I won’t bore you with the details of what the results were for me except to say they were very successful and astounding to most of my doctors.
I started this newsletter to share that information with others in a way that is easily consumed by people on a tight schedule and many who have a desire to remain anonymous. A no charge subscription requires only an email address.
I hope you enjoy the information and that the effort helps someone out there become more healthy and lose weight while doing so. Please share this newsletter with anyone you think may benefit from it.
Thanks for reading.
