I like introducing new doctors, scientists, and researchers on this Substack. There are so many informative figures in the low carb/keto/carnivore space nowadays that I regularly discover a number who are new to me.
Most of you are familiar with Ken Berry MD. So much so that you hardly need this letter to keep showing the presentations on his podcast. I think it gets a little repetitive for some but the reason I keep highlighting them is because of the number of the great interviews he does with people we might not know about yet.
Professor Ben Bikman, PHD is one of those people. I have been following him for quite a while but many of you may not be as familiar with him and what he studies.
So here is an hour long conversation between these two learned people that covers a wide variety of topics of interest to all of us. In this one, the topics include a deeper dive into HbA1c levels, artificial sweeteners, insulin levels and something called the “Randle Cycle.” (which is totally new to me) It even includes a tippy toe into faith and medicine that some may enjoy.
I learned quite a bit and I’m guessing you might as well. As always, comments, emails, and sharing of the posts are encouraged.
